Salena Tramel

Salena Tramel is Program Coordinator for the Middle East and Haiti.  Before joining Grassroots, she was based in Ramallah for nearly a year and worked closely with community organizations in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. Living and working in the Middle East has driven Salena to become increasingly involved in the peace process. She is equally dedicated to social change issues in Haiti and the Caribbean, where she has also lived and worked.  Fluent in several languages and an avid writer, Salena has been published by outlets such as Huffington Post and Common Dreams. She holds an M.A. in Sustainable Development from the School for International Training with concentrations in Policy Analysis and Advocacy and Conflict Transformation.
