Legacy Giving

Legacy gifts are special gifts from one generation to another. By donating a portion of your estate to Grassroots International, you are building a legacy of global justice for you and for your family.

Types of legacy gifts

A legacy gift can be transferred to Grassroots International at any time during your life or at the time of your death. The appreciated capital generally derives from one of the following sources: life insurance, stock, mutual funds, real estate, property or IRA.

To discuss the relative benefits of donating one or more of these fund sources to Grassroots International and the best time to make such a donation please contact Daniel Moss at Grassroots by phone at 617.524.1400 ext. 20 or email him.

There are several ways to structure a legacy gift. Listed below are the most common types of legacy gifts and suggested wording for including such a donation in your will.

  • Donate a percentage of your property or stock

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Grassroots International of Boston, Massachusetts _______% of my estate to be used for its charitable purposes.”
  • Donate a dollar amount

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Grassroots International of Boston, Massachusetts, $XXX,000 to be used for its charitable purposes.”
