Berta C\u00e1ceres y sus camaradas fueron asesinado para defender el pueblo y el territorio Lenca en Honduras. Su organizaci\u00f3n, una socia de Grassroots International, el Consejo C\u00edvico de Organizaciones Populares e Ind\u00edgenas de Honduras (COPINH)<\/a> escribi\u00f3 este comunicado<\/a> despu\u00e9s de que algunos de sus asesinos fueron condenado. Espa\u00f1ol abajo.<\/i><\/p>\n

LA IMPUNIDAD NO TERMINA CON LA SENTENCIA<\/h4>\n

Las hijas e hijo de Berta C\u00e1ceres junto al COPINH tras la lectura de la sentencia del primer juicio contra los autores materiales del asesinato de nuestra compa\u00f1era Berta C\u00e1ceres hacemos conocer lo siguiente:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. La impunidad no termina con la sentencia a los autores materiales. Existen pruebas suficientes para procesar y sancionar a integrantes de la familia Atala y otros por el asesinato de Berta C\u00e1ceres.<\/li>\n
  2. El Ministerio P\u00fablico dirigido por \u00d3scar Chinchilla debe dejar de poner excusas para procesar y requerir el sometimiento a juicio de Daniel Atala Midence, Jos\u00e9 Eduardo Atala Zablah, Pedro Atala Zablah y Jacobo Atala Zablah, entre otros, por el asesinato de Berta C\u00e1ceres.<\/li>\n
  3. El Estado de Honduras enfrenta a procesos internacionales por la participaci\u00f3n de funcionarios p\u00fablicos y la omisi\u00f3n de investigar adecuadamente el asesinato de Berta C\u00e1ceres.<\/li>\n
  4. La falta de justicia en Honduras hace necesaria la instalaci\u00f3n de una misi\u00f3n independiente que lleve adelante el procesamiento y sometimiento a juicio de los responsables del asesinato de Berta C\u00e1ceres<\/li>\n
  5. Esta sentencia es una primera fisura al muro de impunidad total que sostiene a la estructura criminal responsable del crimen consecuencia de la tenacidad de la lucha del COPINH, la familia y la solidaridad nacional y del mundo.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    LA LUCHA SIGUE<\/h5>\n

    Berta, nuestra hermana seguir\u00e1 siendo un s\u00edmbolo de lucha y esperanza para todos los territorios que hoy contin\u00faan la batalla en defensa de la vida y que hoy son perseguidos y criminalizados por esta dictadura. Esta sentencia es el inicio de un camino implacable de justicia para los pueblos y para Honduras.<\/p>\n

    En el COPINH seguimos con esperanza defendiendo la sangre de la tierra, construyendo para coexistir de manera justa, digna y por la vida. No desfallecemos en nuestra lucha en la que Berta vive y vive.<\/p>\n
