National Union of Autonomous Regional Peasant Organizations (UNORCA)

UNORCA is an autonomous, non-profit and non-partisan network of Mexican campesino and indigenous farming organizations advocating for small farmers’ livelihoods and rights.

A national network of 1,400 Mexican campesino and Indigenous farming organizations representing 200,000 producers in 27 Mexican states, UNORCA is also a member of La Via Campesina.

UNORCA plays a critical role in the climate justice movement in Mexico. Through education and organizing efforts, the network mobilizes hundreds of communities to advocate for the rights of Mother Earth and local families, and build solidarity links between rural and urban communities.
