Les proverbes ha\u00eftiens racontent non seulement les probl\u00e8mes du pays, mais aussi la fa\u00e7on dont ses habitant\u00b7e\u00b7s les surmontent continuellement. \u00ab\u00a0Derri\u00e8re les montagnes, encore d’autres montagnes\u00a0\u00bb, dit l’un d’eux, auquel r\u00e9pond un autre proverbe : \u00ab\u00a0Des mains nombreuses all\u00e8gent le fardeau\u00a0\u00bb. En effet, la charge est lourde. Autrefois foyer d’une puissante r\u00e9volte d’esclaves qui a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9publique noire du monde, et connue comme la colonie la plus riche du \u00ab\u00a0nouveau monde\u00a0\u00bb, Ha\u00efti compte aujourd’hui parmi les nations les plus pauvres de l’h\u00e9misph\u00e8re occidental. La pauvret\u00e9 insoutenable, la d\u00e9forestation galopante et l’instabilit\u00e9 politique impos\u00e9e de l’ext\u00e9rieur ont durement touch\u00e9 le peuple ha\u00eftien. Ha\u00efti est \u00e9galement confront\u00e9 \u00e0 d’\u00e9normes d\u00e9fis environnementaux. La d\u00e9forestation a rendu le pays encore plus vuln\u00e9rable aux impacts du changement climatique, tels que les ouragans, la s\u00e9cheresse \u00e0 long terme, les inondations massives et l’\u00e9rosion. Mais m\u00eame dans ce contexte, de puissants mouvements sociaux et organisations de base proposent des solutions locales pour la croissance \u00e0 long terme du pays. Ce sont ces groupes qui forment nos partenariats ha\u00eftiens. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces partenariats, Grassroots International souhaite participer aux efforts visant \u00e0 mettre en valeur le r\u00f4le historique et actuel des mouvements ha\u00eftiens dans la lutte mondiale pour la lib\u00e9ration des Noir\u00b7e\u00b7s, \u00e0 promouvoir la souverainet\u00e9 alimentaire, \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre le droit \u00e0 la terre et \u00e0 promouvoir la justice climatique et \u00e9cologique. Parmi les objectifs de notre programme en Ha\u00efti figurent : la promotion d’une production alimentaire durable et sa distribution \u00e9quitable ; la cr\u00e9ation d’opportunit\u00e9s pour des \u00e9conomies solidaires qui favorisent des moyens de subsistance durables bas\u00e9s sur la communaut\u00e9, en particulier pour les femmes ; le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des communaut\u00e9s de base \u00e0 devenir les auteurs de leur propre avenir ; la garantie des droits humains tels que d\u00e9finis dans la constitution ha\u00eftienne et par les Nations Unies ; et la contribution \u00e0 la restauration de l’environnement naturel d’Ha\u00efti en tant qu’\u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 de la souverainet\u00e9 alimentaire et de la justice climatique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
