Grassroots International

Diana Villa

Diana Villa is the Grants Administrator and Solidarity Program Officer at Grassroots International.

It was a Chattanooga, TN community service program grounded on respect for all people that sparked Diana’s community-driven work. Her subsequent experience as a Bonner Service scholar paired with her mentoring and organizing with local Memphis immigrant youth-led to her concentration in international relations and political science. She was fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn and grow with las comadres of Binghampton as the first Latino Outreach Coordinator for a local community development corporation. Diana built on her local community organizing at the national level in Washington, D.C. with the Interfaith Immigration Coalition and the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA).

Diana joins the Grassroots International team from Chicago, IL where she has been working alongside a multilingual and multinational grassroots movement of domestic workers with the National Domestic Workers Alliance and the IL Domestic Worker Coalition.

Though a “y’all” saying Mexican who grew up in Houston, Texas, Diana has an appreciation for snow and is excited to ice skate through Boston winters and explore New England.
