Emily Rose Navarro is the Advancement Associate for Grassroots International. In her position, she supports program, donor, and engagement projects under the Director of Grantmaking and Advocacy, and the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships.
Through her travels and prior experiences, she has come to see that without addressing poverty, people can’t have human rights. She has a passionate interest working with women and other oppressed communities, defending the environment, and creating meaningful change she could see.
Emily Rose graduated from Lesley University with a Bachelor’s in Global Studies and minor in Business Management. Prior to joining Grassroots, she has participated in microfinance projects with Whole Planet and the Phoenix Projects in Guatemala, studied LGBTQ history in Costa Rica, and engaged with public health issues in Thailand.
Emily Rose grew up in Boston, MA and loves the ocean and all its creatures — including sharks! In her spare time she likes to travel, read and create art.
