Join Us in Palestine and Learn from the Frontlines!
Deepen your solidarity with our Palestinian partners at this critical moment. The delegation will be made up of long-time and new donors, philanthropic advisors, grassroots organizers, and other allies, along with the Grassroots International board and staff.
The themes we will explore on the delegation include frontline struggles for land, water, and territory; human rights; youth organizing; Palestinian culture; Black and Palestinian solidarity; and ecological justice. We will be accompanied by professor and organizer Gopal Dayaneni, who will support the facilitation of our conversations around the connections between ecological justice and Palestinian liberation.
Prior to the delegation, there will be a multi-part orientation and recommended reading to prepare delegates for the trip. Afterward, there will be ongoing opportunities for delegates to continue their engagement with Grassroots International’s program in Palestine.
Delegation dates: July 29- August 5. Delegates may need to depart their homes on the 28th in order to arrive on the 29th. Delegates should plan to travel home on August 6th.
Places we will visit: The West Bank — including East Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and rural areas outside of Hebron — as well as Haifa.
Approximate cost: $3,000 which includes food, lodging, interpretation, and in-country travel. Delegates are responsible for their own travel costs to and from Tel Aviv, which are estimated to be $1K-1.5K.
If you are unable to join us at this time, please consider making a donation to Grassroots International. Your donation will help make it possible for grassroots organizers to join the delegation.
