GGJ is a national alliance of US-based grassroots organizations working to build power for working and poor people and communities of color. GGJ understands that there are important connections between the local and global issues, and sees itself as part of an international movement for global justice.
In 2014, GGJ membership voted to launch the first-ever World March of Women-US Chapter (WMW-US), joining 66 other nations/territories who are part of the World March of Women. WMW is a feminist movement working to eliminate the root causes of poverty and violence against women and to struggle against all forms of inequality and discrimination directed at women.
