Leticia Alcantar has strong history in both the foundation and activist communities, and currently works as a Foundation and Donor Consultant in San Francisco. Previously she served as executive director of the Akondi Foundation, which supports the development of a social change movement to eliminate structural racism and create a racially just society; and was a Senior Program Officer with both the Tides Foundation and Hill-Snowdon Foundation. Leticia co-founded PODER (People Organizing to Demand Environmental Rights) in San Francisco, where she organized immigrant women and their children. As a staff attorney with Environmental Law Community Clinic, she represented community organizations throughout California in civil and administrative courts in the pursuit of environmental rights and justice. Leticia has also served on the boards of PODER, Restaurant Opportunities Center United, and the Center for Third World Organizing.
