Yulissa Arce

Yulissa Arce is the Solidarity Program Officer – BEAI Fund. She is a first generation diasporarican, whose family migrated from Puerto Rico to Orlando, FL in the early 90’s. She calls Florida home, and much of her work has been to make Central Florida a more progressive, feminist, and equitable place for all. Yulissa led organizing efforts focusing on intersectional issues such as climate justice, criminal justice reform, reproductive justice and women’s empowerment, and economic justice and has worked on multiple local and statewide campaigns. She describes her work as seeding and weaving across social movements and everyday life.

Some of Yulissa’s passions include decolonizing Puerto Rico, smashing the patriarchy, Yoga, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her doggy daughter Khloe.
