Agribusiness is the problem, says Grassroots International partner in Durban

diciembre 2011

Peasants, indigenous peoples and human rights activists from around the world gathered in Durban, South Africa, to offer alternatives to the United Nations COP17 discussions on climate change. Several Grassroots International partners participated in the events, including Chavannes Jean Baptiste from Haiti’s Peasant Movement of Papaye (MPP), and a member of the Via Campesina. Jean Baptiste offers his analysis of the impact of industrial agriculture in Haiti and solutions posed by small farmers. He spoke with OneClimate at the Global Day of Climate Action march that took place on December 3, 2011 in Durban, South Africa as part of COP17.
