diciembre 2020

Grassroots International

So, in this edition we celebrate, cherishing our collective memories and reaping the fruits of our labour, because we are the voice of hope, and we will sing loudly!

In 2007, social movements from across the globe converged in Mali for the Nyéléni Global Forum for Food Sovereignty to articulate a common vision of food sovereignty and collective strategies for working toward it. More than a decade later, the Nyéléni Forum remains an essential reference for movements struggling for food sovereignty worldwide.

An important vehicle for continuing the momentum coming out of Nyéléni has been the Nyéléni Newsletter, deepening knowledge and understanding on food sovereignty, and reaching new audiences, around a wide variety of themes.

Grassroots International is proud to have been at Nyéléni and involved in the movement-building processes coming out of it. And we are a proud supporter of the Nyéléni Newsletter, now in its 10th year. Check out the latest edition here!
