Petitioning the Israeli High Court for Justice

Our partner, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), works to protect human rights and promote the rule of law. They have been recognized as an effective voice of the Palestinian people through awards such as the Human Rights Prize from France. PCHR has gained an international reputation as an independent voice on human rights vis-à-vis both Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

PCHR gained further respect in the international community during and following the December 2008-January 2009 attacks on Gaza through their precise attention to detail in documentation of violations of rights. Petitioning the Israeli High Court for Justice, written this week by their director, renowned human rights lawyer Raji Sourani, highlights the complex reality of life in Gaza and what his organization is doing to make it better.
