
Levante Popular da Juventude – LPJ (Soulèvement populaire de la jeunesse)
L'avenir du Brésil dépend de la jeunesse d'aujourd'hui. Le Soulèvement populaire de la jeunesse organise la jeunesse dans tout le pays pour faire tomber les barrières entre les communautés rurales et urbaines et ainsi aboutir à une société plus juste et plus libérée.
Les mouvements sociaux trouvent constamment des moyens d’élever les jeunes, de les organiser et de développer leur leadership. C’est une question de survie et un moyen de faire grandir les mouvements. Mais les jeunes ne sont pas seulement de futurs paysan·ne·s ou travailleur·se·s, et ne sont pas seulement des auxiliaires des communautés et des mouvements, il·elle·s ont également des luttes et des visions qui leur sont propres. Et au Brésil, comme ailleurs, les jeunes construisent ainsi leurs propres mouvements.
Depuis 2006, le Soulèvement populaire de la jeunesse (LPJ) organise des jeunes dans tout le Brésil pour lutter en faveur des droits des jeunes. Le mouvement rassemble des étudiant·e·s des écoles et des universités, des jeunes des quartiers urbains et des communautés rurales, le tout en partenariat avec les sections jeunesse des organisations membres de la Vía Campesina au Brésil.
LPJ, comme la plupart des partenaires que nous accompagnons, combine la réponse aux besoins immédiats avec l’organisation politique. Les jeunes de LPJ dirigent le Réseau national des cours populaires de Podemos+, qui aide leurs pairs à faible revenu à se préparer à l’université et aux examens d’admission correspondants. Il·elle·s s’engagent également dans des actions sociales de masse et dans l’éducation politique. Par exemple, il·elle·s ont lancé des actions nationales contre celles et ceux ayant commis des actes de torture pendant les 20 ans qu’a duré la dictature militaire. Avec notre soutien, LPJ organise par ailleurs une formation nationale sur les féminismes de base.
Tandis que la crise et les conflits s’intensifient, nombre sont celles et ceux qui s’interrogent sur l’avenir du Brésil. LPJ répond d’une voix puissante : il sera construit par la jeunesse urbaine et rurale d’aujourd’hui, animée par la vision d’une société plus juste et plus libérée.
