Lessons from NAFTA: Building a New Fair Trade Agenda

September 2007

Join activists, researchers and policymakers from the U.S., Canada and Mexico in Minneapolis, MN, to review how NAFTA has affected all three countries, learn about efforts to expand NAFTA, and exchange ideas on a new fair trade agenda. Specifically, the conference will look at how NAFTA has impacted:

  • Workers and labor
  • The environment
  • Family farmers
  • Immigration
  • Human rights

We’ll also explore how biofuels are changing the post-NAFTA landscape, and what the new Security and Prosperity Partnership could mean for the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Hosted by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy in collaboration with Grassroots International.
