Hendrix Berry integra a Comissão Organizadora da Massachusetts Solidarity Economy Network, e é diretora da Obran Capital na Obran Cooperative. Hendrix é motivada por questões relativas à construção de infraestrutura com vistas a uma economia mais democrática e regenerativa. Foi fundadora do Boston Ujima Project e teve a oportunidade de trabalhar em ambientes de desenvolvimento econômico comunitário tanto tradicionais quanto inovadores. Considera Boston seu lar, embora tenha crescido na zona rural do oeste de Massachusetts. Além do trabalho e das tarefas de organização, Hendrix cria coelhos de corte, toca música bluegrass com amigos e amigas, faz viagens de bicicleta e coadministra um prédio de apartamentos no bairro de Jamaica Plain. Outras filiações incluem ser integrante da diretoria da US Solidarity Economy Network e integrante da comissão dirigente da Rozzie Bound Coop.
