
Association Guinéenne pour la Sécurité et la Souveraineté Alimentaires Associação Guineense pela Segurança e Soberania Alimentares) – AGUISSA
Os/As pequenos/as agricultores/as da Guiné estão enfrentando intensas usurpações de terras e a dominação de seu sistema alimentar pelo agronegócio. Mas a Association Guinéenne pour la Sécurité et la Souveraineté Alimentaires (Associação Guineense pela Segurança e Soberania Alimentares) está organizando os/as camponeses/as para resistir àqueles que valorizam mais o lucro em detrimento das terras e vidas.
A AGUISSA luta pela soberania alimentar na Guiné em um cenário de usurpações de terra violentas e políticas agrícolas mal orientadas que prejudicam a saúde da terra e a vida das pessoas. Outros movimentos sociais costumam menosprezar a Guiné, e a AGUISSA trabalha com a NSS em âmbito regional com os temas de feminismos de base e justiça ambiental, de modo a preencher essas lacunas. A associação reconhece que a soberania alimentar só é possível com a participação das mulheres e pessoas de gênero não conforme, razão pela qual atua prioritariamente junto a essas comunidades.
A AGUISSA apoia produtores/as de alimentos de pequeno porte e grupos camponeses no cultivo, na colheita, na produção, no beneficiamento e no escoamento. Seus membros usam princípios agroecológicos para lutar contra a usurpação de terras e águas e o uso de produtos químicos. Atualmente a AGUISSA prioriza a atuação nas comunicações, inclusive agregando comunicadores/as tradicionais, como contadores/as de histórias tradicionais da África Ocidental (conhecidos como griots) a seus movimentos. Em nível nacional, a AGUISSA se reúne com instituições estaduais e internacionais para promover a inclusão dos princípios agroecológicos nas políticas agrícolas da Guiné.
A AGUISSA está se esforçando para devolver as sementes e outros recursos às mãos dos/as camponeses/as – principalmente mulheres e pessoas de gênero não conforme – e transformar a opinião pública em prol da agroecologia. Ambas são cruciais para a resistência contra as forças que priorizam o lucro em detrimento da terra e da vida das pessoas, assim como para a construção de um futuro melhor para a Guiné.
