
Colectivo Ilé (Coletivo Ilê)
O Colectivo Ilé (Coletivo Ilê) usa a organização comunitária, as oficinas e os processos educativos para desconstruir o racismo, recuperando e fortalecendo as diversas histórias e identidades do povo porto-riquenho.
Sediado na comunidade afro-porto-riquenha de Loiza, o Coletivo Ilê é composto por mulheres que reconhecem que a incidência de injustiças de gênero se cruza de forma nítida com a das injustiças raciais. Elas veem o racismo e a supremacia branca promovidos pelo colonialismo como as raízes de muitas das desigualdades atuais. As pessoas visivelmente negras são alvo de discriminação e violência – seja pela polícia, no ambiente de trabalho ou em outros contextos. Essas experiências das pessoas negras de Porto Rico costumam ser ignoradas, já que a ideologia dominante invisibiliza a negritude e, por isso, nega o racismo.
Os impactos prenunciam altos indicadores de desigualdade: 47% das mulheres negras vivem abaixo da linha da pobreza, e 60% delas estão desempregadas. Além disso, o racismo se conecta diretamente à violência de gênero. Os feminicídios, assassinatos e desaparecimentos de mulheres – principalmente mulheres trans – abundam, e boa parte das vítimas ou desaparecidas é negra.
Em resposta, o Coletivo Ilê se envolve na organização, na formação e na pesquisa voltadas ao fortalecimento de iniciativas antirracistas e decoloniais em Porto Rico e outros lugares.
