Ivan Yung is the Finance Coordinator at Grassroots International. He joined Grassroots International with over 10 years of non-profit experience stretching all the way back to his days in high school as a youth volunteer at Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center.

One cause Ivan feels strongly about is the ongoing battle with gentrification across many communities. The rise of luxury condominiums and apartment buildings has stripped long-time community residents of their housing and small businesses. Ivan has witnessed these dynamics firsthand with Boston’s Chinatown, which has held a sentimental place in his heart from his youth to the present. Over the past decade, Ivan has seen how much gentrification has and continues to take its toll on Chinatown and other communities across the United States.

Ivan is a first generation Asian American who holds a BA degree in Accounting from Newbury College. When Ivan is not looking at numbers, he enjoys traveling, trying new foods/cuisines, and competing in card game tournaments.
